S.O.A.P Journaling

What it Means to S.O.A.P Journal

God has given us His Word, recorded for us in the Bible. God tells us that His Word is eternal, living and active. It is as relevant for our lives today and into the future, as it was when it was first written down. The Bible is God’s instruction manual for how to thrive in this life, and it prepares us for the life to come in eternity.

Taking time to dig into God’s word each day, for a few minutes, in an intentional way, can radically impact our lives for the better. Sharing what we learn, with a few close friends helps us grow together on the journey of following Jesus and getting the most out of a full and fulfilling life.

“We chose to spend time daily with God, reading and journaling through the Bible.”

What God's Word Says

John 15:5

I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.

Psalms 119:11

I have hidden your word in my heart that I might not sin against you.

Hebrews 4:12

For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.
